    建国前，博山的水产仅有沟壑中自然生长的螃蟹等。建国后，随着水利二程
的建设，博山区水面面积逐渐扩大，特别是石马水库建成以来，人工养殖有大的
发展。主要放养的鱼种是鲤鱼、草鱼、鲢鱼、鲫鱼等。全区1970～1985年间平均
年捕捞量6万斤左右。1984年引进虹鳟鱼，在泉河头电灌站试养。翌年4月正式放
养鱼苗。
