    隋唐时期，临淄撤郡为县，交通枢纽地位逐步由淄川所代替，淄川成为“四府通衢”。
那时的“路” ， 较宽阔的称“官马大路”，与“官马大路”相连接的称“驿路”或
“驿道”。后驿道改造为公路。至1998年有5条公路始于或穿过城一村区，其中4条为
街路合一。四通八达的公路和街道，成为城一村经济发展和村区建设的基础。
