　　淄川区位于淄博市中部，地理坐标为北纬36°22′29″～36°45′37″，东
经117°41′00″～118°14′ 35 ″。南临博山区，西接章丘市，北与周村、张
店、临淄三区相连，东傍青州市，东南与临朐、沂源两县接壤。南北最大纵距42
公里，东西最大横距49公里。2002年，全区总面积1000.61平方公里。
