    1885年前后，天主教自韩家窝(今属周村区)传入昆仑镇大奎村，相继传到渭
头河、苗峪村、罗圈峪、梨峪口、野鸡岭、淄川城、张庄、二里、东笠山、槲林、
道口等地。1937年，境内天主教徒活动最盛，参加者达1500余人。
