    自清道光二十年(1840年) 至光绪三十年(1904年)，淄川县共考中进士7名、
举人29名、贡生53名。
    民国时期，淄川出国留学生10名。
    建国后至1985年， 淄川地区的出国留学生共有6名，具有讲师、工程师、硕
士等以上学位和职称的共有395名。还有部分音乐、体育及其他专长的人才。
    1978年恢复高考制度后，淄川教育界全面贯彻教育方针，努力提高教学质量，
高考升学率越来越高。1985年，仅考入大学本科的就有69名，名列全市榜首。
