    清代实行世袭兵役制，世袭的主要是旗兵，凡16岁以上的八旗子弟“人尽为
兵”。清代后期，由于兵源不足，清政府开始招募汉人当兵，称“绿营兵”。民
国初年，军阀割据，军营直接来县招募新兵，应募者多是贫困的劳动人民，长期
服役。
