    区水利局设水产站，配有3名专职干部，负责全区水产养殖业的领导和管理。
各乡(镇)水利站配有兼管水产工作的水利员。太河水库、萌山水库均建有淡水养
鱼专业机构。 1985年全区有专职水产技术干部3人，从事淡水养鱼的专业人员50
多人。1982年开始实行养鱼专业承包，发展养鱼专业户，至1985年专业户发展到
40余户。
