    胶州市，1981年全国土壤普查总面积1259平方公里(含部队农场13．5平方公里)。1988年耕地96．23万亩。同年，全市乡(镇)级建置单位共21个，其中街道办事处4个、镇8个、乡9个。共137条街道(设28个街道居民委员会)，804个自然（设823个村民委员会)。共计696213。
