    1982年，胶县成立环境保护监测站后，人员、仪器、监测范围、监测技术迅速增加和发展。1987年，改为胶州市环境保护监测站。监测站配有汞蒸汽测量仪、PH酸度计、干燥箱、分析天平、大气采样器、分光光度计、电冰箱、茂福炉、普通升级计、光学显微镜、生物培养箱、极普仪、微机、环境监测车等重要设备和一系列玻璃分析仪器，肩负着全市的环境监测任务。
