    莱西县地处山东半岛中部，境内自然条件差异不大，人口分布较为均衡。建国38
年来，特别自1978年中共十一届三中全会以后，实行改革、开放，大力发展商品经济，
经商办企业者逐渐增多，城镇人口发展较快，城区水集、望城镇人口比较集中，其他
镇变化不大。
