    1950年6月，本县设人民检察署。1955年4月，改为莱西县人民检察院。“文化大
革命”期间，县公安局、检察院、法院合并实行军管。1978年7月1日，恢复县人民检
察院，设检察长、副检察长，内设办公室、刑事检察一股、刑事检察二股、监所检察
股、 控告申诉检察股，并成立由7人组成的检察委员会。1979年10月，增设法纪检察
股、经济检察股。1985年8月，股改为科、室，增设技术科、政工科。
