    建国后到60年代初，县城区居民住房面积小，设施简陋。60年代中期，居住条件
逐步有所改善，但改观不大。70年代后期开始，住宅建设加快，到1987年，县城区共
建成住宅84.85万平方米， 占城区房屋总面积的52.2%。其中，私人住宅42.89万平方
米，占住宅总面积的50.6%；公共住宅41.96万平方米，占住宅总面积的49.4%。
