    民国26年（1937年）前，女姑口一带，曾有人租滩搞过养蛏等海水养殖。但从日
本第二次侵占崂山直到1949年崂山地区解放止，该区再无人从事此业。
    解放后，崂山郊区水产养殖事业逐渐兴起，1954年始养泥蚶，1958年始养海带和
淡水鱼类，1964年始行滩涂贝类养殖，1972年试养紫贻贝成功，1979年始养对虾，之
后裙带菜、紫菜、扇贝等也相继养殖成功。
    其他如甲鱼、毛蟹、虹蹲鱼等均在试养阶段。
