每年对复员、 退伍军人进行预备役登记。1988年9月，军队转业干部恢复预备役登记。
2002年，将每名复退军人情况输入《退伍军人预备役管理系统》，同时整理和保管农村
籍退伍士兵档案。按普通士兵和技术兵分一、二类士兵预备役；28岁以下的服一类预备
役；28岁至35岁转服二类士兵预备役；35岁以上退出士兵预备役。
