    1129年(金天会七年)置济阳县，同年于济水北岸的标竿镇兴建县城。县城建起后
虽历经沧桑，但800余年来从未迁徙，一直为全县政治、经济、文化的中心。
    建国前，经济、文化等发展缓慢，济阳县城变化不大。建国后，特别是进入20世
纪80年代后，县城建设迅速发展，面貌日新月异。
