    1998年5月，成立平阴县勘界工作领导小组，勘界工作开始。平阴县共4条县级边
界线，平阴县负责牵头平阴东阿线、平阴长清线、平阴肥城线和长清平阴东阿、长清
平阴肥城两个三县交汇点的勘定任务。 边界线勘定工作至1999年6月全部结束，共勘
定边界线179.75公里，埋设界桩30棵。1999年，平阴县被省民政厅、省人事厅表彰为"
全省勘界工作先进单位"。同年6月，平阴肥城线勘界成果获山东省县级行政区域界线
勘界优秀成果一等奖。
