    1989年至1997年， 婚姻登记工作由乡镇政府办理。1997年9月，根据省政府75号
省长令的要求，县政府研究确定撤销11处乡镇婚姻登记室，自1997年9月1日后，婚姻
登记由县民政局集中办理， 同时下设东阿、孝直两个巡回登记点。2000年1月，撤销
两个登记点。2001年10月，建立平阴县婚姻登记管理处。2003年10月，新的《婚姻登
记条例》颁布实施后，平阴县婚姻登记管理处更名为平阴县婚姻登记处，有干部职工
9人。1988年至2003年，全县共办理结婚登记48175对，离婚登记605对。
    自1988年始，各乡镇普遍开展了以举办集体婚礼、开办新婚夜校、婚姻咨询为内
容的婚姻服务。 1994年6月，县民政局成立了婚姻服务中心，在全县开展了以婚前教
育为主要内容的婚姻系列化服务。
    1986年，县民政局建立了婚姻登记档案室，对1986年以来的婚姻档案进行归档管
理，长期保存。1999年，平阴县婚姻登记实行了微机管理，实现了与省民政厅、市民
政局的微机联网。
