    1958年11月中共平阴县委机关报《平阴大众》创刊，版面为8开4版，每周两期，
每期3000份。内容除转摘中央、省报重要新闻外，重点反映平阴县政治、经济、文化
等各项事业的新成就。设主编（兼）1人，副主编1人，编辑5人，记者3人。报社附设
印刷厂， 工人15名。1959年全县有通讯组20个；1960年发展到100个，有通讯员1200
人。1960年8月停刊，前后共出版190期。
