    1958年以前长清无淡水鱼类人工养殖业，渔业生产靠捕捞河道回游性鱼类及坑塘鱼类。
1949年捕鱼量为20吨， 1958年捕鱼量为50吨。 1949-1958年水产品产量平均年递增6％。
1958年实行淡水鱼人孔养殖以后，  年捕鱼量有所增加。 1977年捕鱼量为198吨。1985年
捕鱼量为264吨。 全县从事渔业生产的专业人员186人，机动船两只36.75千瓦；木船13只，
载重13吨。有3层挂网43片，刺网74片，拦鱼网4片，成鱼网箱32个，鱼种网箱子九26个，
鱼种网1片。另有其他渔具21台件。
