    区政府于1995年6月组织力量， 投资100多万元，历时4个月，划定了基本农田
保护区，  落实了1995~2000年的耕地保护面积53111.16公顷。   其中一类农田24
416.28公顷，二类农田16406.57公顷，三类农田12288.31公顷。划分区级保护区21
个， 镇级保护区215个，2806片，制做区级保护标志牌457块，建档816宗，全区农
田实现了划片成方、标牌到位、责任到人的管理目标。区政府还制定了《历城区基
本农田保护暂行办法》及《农田保护公约》。
