    1998年以来，天桥区民政工作以争创“全国社区建设示范区”和“省级双拥模
范区四连冠”为突破口，不断加强社区和基层民主政权建设，加大社会行政管理力
度，加快城乡社会保障体系建设，巩固双拥建设成果，多次被评为省民政工作先进
区、省级双拥模范区、市民政工作优秀单位。1998年被评为全国社区服务示范区，
1999年被全国双拥工作领导小组、民政部命名为全国“爱心献功臣行动”先进区，
2002年被国家民政部命名为全国社区建设示范区；被省委、省政府、省军区评为全
省双拥模范区，实现“争创”四连冠。
