    2003年1月， 十六里河镇、党家庄镇开始实施农村公路改造工程。工程总投资
4400万元， 资金来源由市、 镇、村三方筹集。2003年，实际完成改造44.6公里。
2004年，铺设水泥路面45.9公里。2003～2004年，共投资3700万元，累计完成农村
公路改造90.5公里， 共有62个村实现了村村通公路，受益人口达7.5万人。完成总
工程量的84％。2004年，全区共奖励两镇农村公路改造项目90万元。2003～2004年，
被市政府授予“市农村公路改造先进集体。”
