    1991—1997年区政府总投资6374.1万元，在城区扩征土地1.72公顷，完成校改
项目45项， 投资290多万元用于学校内部设施配套和设备更新。1997年，全区中学
教学仪器设备均达到部颁二类标准，图书配备达9 5％，音美器材达100％，体育器
材达90％， 劳技器材按二类配齐。 同年年底， 区政府又专项投资100万元，筹资
1100万元，在全市率先完成39所中小学“温暖工程”，解决了中小学生冬季取暖问
题。
