    1940年， 境内的鲁西南专署、湖西专署和运西专署均设民政科，至1949年8月，
境内的平原省菏泽区行政督察专员公署和平原省湖西区行政督察专员公署亦有民政科。
1 953年8月， 菏泽专署设有民政科，1958年4月撤销，1959年6月复设民政科，8月改
为民政局，1962年6月，复改为民政科，1963年9月改为民政局，1967年初因“文化大
革命”而瘫痪，1970年1月复设民政局。
