    近年来，该乡积极调整农业产业结构，发展林果业，果品生产已成为农民增收的一大支柱产业。
至2006年底，全乡无公害蜜桃栽植面积2000公顷，早、中、晚熟品种30余个，年产蜜桃1亿公斤，收入
1.4亿元，是著名的“蜜桃之乡”，国家级无公害果品生产基地。2006年11月，旧寨乡被中国优质果品
基地暨果品先进典型评选组委会评为“中国优质水蜜桃基地乡镇”。
