    临沂大学为市委、市政府决定创办的一所综合性大学，规划占地1万亩，投资15亿元，在校生3～
5万人。2002年1月临沂大学校址选定在兰山区。定位于双岭路以北，北外环路以南，祊河以西，京沪
高速公路以东。至2002年底，一期建设用地4000亩（含东苑理工学院1000亩）的划证手续及建设任务
的申报工作已完成。
