    胶州至新沂铁路是东北至长江三角洲陆海铁路通道的重要组成部分，其中临沂境内全长152公里，
途经临沂市沂水、沂南、河东、郯城4县区，总投资约20亿元。该工程于2001年12月开工建设，建设
工期3年，计划2003年底建成通车。至2002年年底，线下工程已完工，临沂北站以北临沂境内76公里已
完成架梁铺轨。
