    2013 年，全市城镇化水平达到53.2%，同比增长1.9%，基本实现与全国、全省同步发展。省人大
常委会视察临沂市城镇化工作时给予了充分肯定。《人民日报》报道了临沂市城镇化工作的经验做法。
12 个市级优先发展重点镇实现公共财政预算收入21.4 亿元，增长45.8%， 增幅超过全省示范镇平均
增幅20 个百分点。5 个镇荣获省级示范镇总体规划奖，12 个镇被列入第二批省级示范镇。小城镇发
展亮点频现，完成村镇建设投资110 亿元，镇域公共财政预算收入实现149.4 亿元，增长32.2%。21 个
镇申报全国重点镇，数量居全省首位；兰陵镇、薛庄镇、泉庄镇被评为山东省历史文化名镇。
