    2008年，全市建设系统贯彻落实市委、市政府实施城镇化主导和中心城市带动战略的决策部署，
进一步推进城镇化进程。全市城镇化水平达46%，增加了2.2个百分点。临沂北城新区旧村改造、蒙阴
县东汶河环境综合治理项目通过“山东省人居环境范例奖”初审。《临沂市建设管理新型现代化城市
研究》获得山东省建设系统优秀调研成果一等奖，《临沂市实施城镇化主导战略研究》获得临沂市第
十四届社会科学优秀成果一等奖。
