    2008年，临沂经济开发区完成地区生产总值85亿元，增长53%；实现规模以上工业总产值165亿元，
增长79%；实现财政总收入3.26亿元，增长51.6%；其中地方财政收入1.23亿元，增长63%；完成进出口
总额1.6亿美元，增长60%；其中出口1.3亿美元，增长54%；万元GDP能耗0.58吨标准煤，减少6.5%。开
发区先后被评为山东省科学发展园区、中国最佳投资开发区、江浙企业家投资中国首选开发区、全国
十大效能开发区等。
