    1996年，全市林业工作按照“九五”计划及2010年发展规划，以巩固发展林业资源为基础，以提
高林业生态、经济、社会三大效益为目标，以沂蒙工程、淮防工程和世行贷款营造丰产林三大工程和
林果八大基地为重点，加快绿化步伐，提高绿化水平。1996年全市新造林2．96万公顷，果品产量105
．2万吨，实现林业总产值28．37亿元。到年底，全市有林地面积达41．26万公顷，林木总蓄积量829万
立方米，森林覆盖率达25％。
