    市侨务办公室是市政府负责全市侨务工作的职能部门。办公室下设人秘、侨政、宣联、经济4个
科，编制14人。
    1996年，全市侨务工作以邓小平建设有中国特色的社会主义理论为指导，继续围绕经济建设这个
中心，在团结归侨、侨眷，联络海外华侨的同时，按照省侨办提出的“大侨务”工作思路，进一步解
放思想，开阔视野，突出重点。充分利用侨务优势，为促进全市经济建设的发展作出了，较大贡献。
