    1998年6月，市政府决定建设城市燃气工程，并列入市政府1998年11项为民工程之一，成立了燃气
工程筹建领导小组和燃气工程筹建处。燃气工程以沂蒙化肥厂合成氨驰放气掺液化石油气增热作为城
市燃气气源。一期工程日产混合燃气3.7万立方米(热值为9200千卡/米3)，工程总投资9793万元，4年
完成，可供应兰山区5万户居民用气。1 998年12月开工建设，计划到1999年10月1日前达到一定的供气
规模。
