    1990年4月2日，临沂地区行政公署法制局成立，同年10月5日，行署法制局正式挂牌办公。至年
底，全区各县市均成立了政府法制局。1993年底县乡进行机构改革，除临沂、蒙阴、费县3县市仍保
留法制局外，其余各县政府法制局均更名为政府法制办公室。
    自1990年以来，全区各级政府法制部门紧紧围绕党委、政府的中心工作，发挥政府法制机构职能
作用，不断开拓法制工作新领域，政府“立法”、行政执法监督检查、行政复议应诉和法制宣传培训
等各项工作取得了较好成绩。
