    临沂地区汽车报废、更新工作从1982年开始，具体业务由金属回收公司负责。1987年，报废车辆
370辆，回收更新121辆。1982～1991年，共报废汽车1800辆，回收579辆。由公安局车辆管理所和更新
办公室两次销毁车辆档案1560份。1992～1994年，地区物资再生利用总公司与地区公安局车辆管理所
合作，共报废汽车1600辆。
