    临沂发电厂  1950年在临沂城东门里兴建，1951年9月投产。当时安装100千瓦瓦斯引擎机组1台，
两条380伏低压线路，长3公里。1958年，该厂移至临沂城南白庄重建。第一期工程于1959年7月竣工投
产。1960～1987年又实施了五期扩建工程，规模不断扩大。1991年9月和1992年5月，又分别投产2台5
万千瓦机组， 使临沂电厂从中温中压机组一步跨入高压机组行列。 到1994年，  电厂拥有固定资产
22124万元，机组总容量35万千瓦，年发电量7.8亿千瓦时。年实现工业总产值15849万元，利税5048万
元。
