    区内水生经济植物主要有苇、蒲、藕、菱、芡实、茨菰、荸荠等。1981年，全区有植苇2.8万亩，
总产1503万公斤。植蒲5087亩，总产118万公斤。植藕2600亩，总产105万公斤。其他水生植物有水花
生、水葫芦、水浮莲、红萍、浮萍等，分布虽广，但产量很低。菹草、马来眼子菜、轮叶黑藻、苦草、
金鱼藻、小茨藻等沉水植物，大都生长在河道沟渠有底泥处，是发展草食性鱼类的铒料资源。
