    统计监督主要体现两个方面，一是对国民经济的正常运行起到检测、监督作用，使之持续、稳定、协调发展。二是1984年《统计法》实施以来统计监督纳入法制轨道。每年9月份为统计法制建设检查月，统计部门会同司法部门到农村、厂矿、企业进行检查。有力地保证了统计部门和统计人员独立行使统计调查、统计报告的权力，统计数字的准确性、及时性逐年提高。
