    1950年5月，德州专署组建后，设立了财政科、税务局。之后，财政、税务几经合、分。1984年3月起为最后一次分设。是年底，地区财政局内设8个科、室，有职工59名，下辖13个县（市）财政局，257个乡镇财政所，共有职工710名；税务局内设6科1室，有职工56名，下辖13个县（市）税务局，231个乡镇税务所，共有职工1729名。
