    民国期间， 县城东南有1处民众体育场。建国初期，有10余处简易篮球场。1969
年在老城广场建第一个灯光球场。1977年在胜利二路西侧建体育场，面积6600平方米。
1984年在体育场内建成1座面积为375平方米的乒乓球训练房。 1985年征地17400平方
米扩建体育场。1985年，全县体育设施有：4.00米田径场5个，200米以上田径场15个，
灯光篮球场15个，城乡简易篮球场484个，乒乓球室118个。基本保证体育活动的需要。
