    公路边旁植树始于1936年，由青岛引进加拿大杨5000株，栽于德潍路博兴路段。
继而在博(兴)高(苑)路栽刺槐1000余株。日军侵占博兴后有减无增。中华人民共和国
成立后，公路建设发展较快，路旁植树逐年增多，树种以杨树、刺槐为主。1985年路
旁林带63.3公里，其中张义路境内32.7公里，潍博路12.5公里，湖滨公路12.1公里，
博临路6公里，共有林木6.72万株，折实面积560亩。
