    东汉末期， 境内今博兴县即有道教活动。 据考，隋朝以来，境内先后共有道观
137座， 其中今滨州市25座、博兴县16座、惠民县29座、邹平县18座、阳信县20座、
无棣县16座、沾化县13座。金代，境内道教多为“全真”派，元朝多为“正一派”。
县城道观大都有道士主持。清末，今滨州市境内的牧丹台、里则镇、北镇天王堂、杜
店等地的道教宫观，仍有道徒活动。
    中华民国建立后，境内道教逐渐衰落，道士人数锐减，庙宇毁坏甚多，到解放初，
惠民县仅有道士两人，后相继去世。中华人民共和国建立前后，道徒陆续返俗，活动
逐渐停止。
