    曲艺活动历来种类较少， 又多非自己创作。1958年，3名曲艺人员组成专业曲艺
组，到1966年发展到20多人。"文化大革命"中解散。1980年冬重新组建为莱芜县曲艺
队，有32人，曲种有渔鼓、山东琴书、山东快书、评书等，能演唱中、长篇书40部。
1981年起，艺人逐步分散演出。1983年，曲艺队自行解体。
