    清代，境内当铺分布于东关、西关、口镇、水北。同治年间歇业。民国初年，口
镇、鲁西等地只有些小典当或小押当。借当者要向当铺借钱，首先送衣物或其他物品
作抵押，按期偿还本息。当铺开当的手段是以优为劣，以贵为贱，押当利率3—4分，
期限双方议订，有一个月、两个月、半年、一年。到期不赎，便为死当，业主有权自
行处理。
