    境内人口自然变动记载绝少。清末人口较之明代及清代初期增长10倍多。民国期
间，人口自然增长呈上升趋势。建国后人口逐年增加。60年代起开始有计划地控制人
口增长， 人口自然增长率呈下降趋势。 1966年前，人口最高自然增长率为28.87%。
1967年后， 人口最高自然增长率为24.20姑。 1978-1987年，人口最高自然增长率为
11.36%。
