    境内地下矿藏丰富，金、银、铜、铁、煤均具有一定储量，尤以铁、煤著称。各
种石料及河沙遍布全境。优越的自然环境，为地质勘探和矿业开发提供了先决条件，
历史文献记载，秦汉两代已采矿冶铁，唐、宋、元代颇具规模，明代中期至民国时期
处于停滞状态，建国后经过开发，逐渐成为山东省的钢铁、煤炭生产基地。其他各类
石料、河沙等采掘业也较普遍和发达。
