　　1996年，是实施《日照市教育事业“九五”计划》的第一年。一年来，全市教育工作坚持以党的十四届五中、六中全会精神为指导，以贯彻实施《中国教育改革和发展纲要》、《教育法》为主线，继续强化基础教育，大力发展职业技术教育和成人教育，适度发展高等教育，取得了较好成效。
