　　1996年3月26日，经国务院批准，中国人民建设银行更名为中国建设银行。年内，中国建设银行日照市分行认真贯彻执行国家的金融方针政策，按照“改革、发展、管理、效益”八字方针和“一心一意办银行”的指导思想，突出“资金实力、资产质量、经济效益和服务效率”四大工作重点，强化管理，推进集约化经营，加强班子队伍建设，各项工作取得较大进展。
