　　1996年，团市委大力加强团的自身建设，不断强化服务功能，紧紧围绕党的工作中心，扎实实施跨世纪青年文明工程、青年人才工程和农村青年致富工程，开创了共青团工作新局面，为全市两个文明建设做出了积极贡献。先后被团省委授予“青春立功”活动先进团委称号，被团省委、省教委、省少工委评为少先队工作红旗单位（全省仅4个）。
