    1970年，兰家公社(今城西镇)成立全县第一家石灰厂，共有职工40人，固定资产
原值15.1万元， 年创总产值11.3万元。1972年，全县石灰厂增加到2个。1978年增加
到4个，职工208人，年产石灰4.99万吨。到1982年，4个石灰厂有职工255人，年生产
石灰93.2万吨，创总产值62万元。1995年，全市镇、村石灰厂8个，拥有职工316人，
年生产石灰113.2万吨，创总产值378万元。产品销往本市和威海其他市区。
